PERRY WASSERMAN

Perry Wasserman is a Partner at Nathan & Kamionski LLP, where he defends municipalities and law enforcement officers across the country in civil rights litigation, including claims brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. He has significant experience litigating high-profile, complex matters and leading large-scale investigations into alleged police misconduct.

Prior to joining Nathan & Kamionski LLP, Mr. Wasserman helped establish the Independent Investigations Division at the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. In that role, he developed the policies and procedures governing statewide investigations into police officer- involved fatalities. He served as lead attorney on numerous officer-involved shootings, use-of- force incidents, in-custody deaths, and police pursuits, and authored detailed public reports.

Mr. Wasserman also drafted proposed legislation, provided testimony before policymakers, and conducted extensive outreach with key stakeholders. Earlier in his legal career, Mr. Wasserman served for over a decade as an Assistant State’s
Attorney for Baltimore County, where he tried major felony cases—including homicides, violent crimes, and special victim matters—to verdict.
