Matthew Hoff is a Partner at Nathan & Kamionski LLP. Mr. Hoff has extensive litigation experience at both the federal and state levels. Prior to joining Nathan & Kamionski, Mr. Hoff was a Deputy Chief of Litigation at the Department of Justice’s Violent Crime and Racketeering Section (VCRS), where he supervised a team of trial attorneys who focus on complex criminal investigations and prosecutions involving individuals affiliated with the most significant regional, national, and international gangs and other criminal organizations operating in the United States and elsewhere. Prior to becoming a Deputy Chief, Mr. Hoff was a Trial Attorney with VCRS, where he led investigations and prosecutions of organized crime groups in both the United States and internationally, while working with federal and state law enforcement agencies. In his cases, Mr. Hoff used a broad spectrum of federal criminal statutes, including homicide, fraud, extortion, money laundering, narcotics trafficking, and firearms offenses, with a focus on the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and the Violent Crimes in Aid of Racketeering (VICAR) statute. He has extensive federal litigation experience, including trying over ten complex cases to verdict in federal courts throughout the United States. Prior to joining VCRS, Mr. Hoff was a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Maryland, where he focused on prosecuting and investigating federal criminal offenses. Mr. Hoff began his career as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office. There, he prosecuted a range of offenses from misdemeanor crimes to attempted murders. Mr. Hoff has over twelve years of federal litigation experience and over eight years of Maryland state litigation experience.
