Prior to joining Nathan & Kamionski LLP, she served as Assistant Bar Counsel for the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission, where she represented the Commission in attorney disciplinary proceedings across Maryland. In that role, she handled all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial, and prepared disciplinary briefs and oral arguments before the Court. Ms. Getty has successfully argued before the Supreme Court of Maryland.

Previously, Ms. Getty served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, where she conducted investigations into police officer-involved fatalities and worked with state and local officials on matters involving constitutional law, civil rights enforcement, and public transparency. During that time, she also contributed to legislation enacted by the Maryland General Assembly creating a civil enforcement mechanism for violations of state and federal civil rights laws.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Getty was an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted a wide range of felony and misdemeanor offenses, including homicide, sexual assault, firearms offenses, and domestic violence. Her trial work frequently involved expert testimony and complex forensic evidence, including DNA, ballistics, and digital forensic analysis.

Ms. Getty served as a law clerk to the Honorable Terrence J. McGann in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
