Ephraim R. Siff is an experienced litigator in the firm’s Baltimore office with a focus on defending government agencies and law enforcement professionals. Mr. Siff also conducts pre-litigation and independent investigations and regularly provides advice to agencies on police policies and procedures.

Prior to joining Nathan & Kamionski, Mr. Siff served in the legal counsel section of the Maryland State Police where he defended the agency and its troopers in employment, civil rights and general liability matters. Mr. Siff also spent ten years as a prosecutor with the Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore County handling a broad variety of complex criminal matters, often from early investigation through successful prosecution. During that time, he also oversaw the post-conviction unit, defending challenges to criminal convictions on constitutional grounds.

Mr. Siff is a popular lecturer at police academies in the Baltimore area and an adjunct professor of law at the University of Baltimore School of Law where he teaches courses on Maryland criminal practice and civil procedure.
