Jessica is a seasoned civil rights litigator with significant trial experience in both state and federal court. Prior to joining Nathan & Kamionski, Jessica was a Chief Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago, Department of Law, where she she gained over a decade of experience representing the City of Chicago and its employees in complex federal and state court matters.

Jessica has focused her practice on the defense of municipalities and their police officers in civil litigation. As both Supervisor and Chief Assistant Corporation Counsel in the City of Chicago’s Federal Civil Rights Litigation Division, she led high-profile cases involving police shootings, wrongful death, excessive force, false arrest, and malicious prosecution, managing litigation strategy from intake to verdict. She has tried 17 jury trials, briefed countless motions for summary judgment, and trained Chicago Police Department supervisors on constitutional law and civil litigation. In her leadership roles as Chief and Supervisor, Jessica also trained and mentored countless attorneys, helping them develop strong trial and litigation skills to succeed in complex federal practice. While at the City, Jessica was responsible for all aspects of litigation in both state and federal court including discovery, trial, and settlement.
